Our baby is learning to walk. He can surf along furniture, but can't be trusted to walk unattended without inevitably falling on his head. We purchased this head protector for this reason. It's a nice idea, but the straps don't hold the protector in place very well, so it shifts around rather than staying firmly behind the head. It's better than nothing, but not great either.
Let me start by saying this thing is super cute. I saw my friend posted a video of her son wearing one of these when learning how to crawl. She sent me the link and I immediately ordered one for our baby. Even though shes not ready to crawl yet, but shes getting there anytime. So I want to have it ready for her. The material is good. It soft. It may not protect her on the sides, but if she happens to fall backward, this will definitely help protect her head.
This item is so needed for my opinion in every house that have a baby who starting to hold and claim on things! My baby fell so manny time and one time we even went to emergency room to make sure he is ok. This head protector is a game changer, it will not prevent felling , or prevent pain when they fell, but it will prevent a big risk hurting their little soft head and back. Product is comfy and my baby really dont mind it.
My daughter has Down syndrome and falls a lot. This cute back pack head protector has saved her head more times than I can count. I works very well!
Works excellent for my son, has caught him many of times from hitting his head on our tile floors, especially because he loves to chase the dogs while they are running. I really like that it clips in the front as well since it sometimes slips off my sons shoulders, so that helps to keep it better secured.
